Economic Development / Washington County (EDWC) is an organization made up of community partners.
Economic Development / Washington County (EDWC), is a countywide public-private development partnership that supports and nurtures Washington County’s economy. EDWC accomplishes this by serving as the central voice on economic development issues; conducting an aggressive existing business development program; engaging in targeted business attraction; and supporting start-up enterprises. Our clients include decision-makers at companies large and small, site selectors, commercial brokers, public officials and others engaged in growing businesses.
The goals of the EDWC are fourfold:
- Retain and attract businesses
- Maintain workforce quality & availability
- Encourage start-up businesses and entrepreneurship
- Serve as central resource for recruitment and placement of businesses
