Washington County has a labor force of 73,465. Having grown 1.7% in the past five years, our county’s labor force has experienced growth almost twice as fast as that of the State in that same span. The 4.8% growth since 2001 is also double the state’s growth.

The majority of the county’s workforce is employed in the sales and office category, with production, transportation and material moving also employing a large number of workers in the county.
